All Wisconsin Residents are eligible for a free library card. Obtaining a library card is easy: All you need is a Wisconsin photo ID and proof of address (like a utility bill or rental agreement with your name and address on it). Children in kindergarten and up may sign up for their own library card with a parent’s permission and signature.
There are over 30 Libraries in the Winding Rivers Library System, and patrons can make requests from any of them. You can search for and request items from the comfort of your own home. All you need is your library card barcode, your pin number, and Internet access.
1. Find “Search the WRLSWEB Catalog” on the right side of the library’s home page.
2. Enter a title, author, or subject. Click on “Submit”.
3. Search through the results. Click on items of interest to learn more about them.
4. Click on “Request Item”. Enter your barcode and pin number (last 4 digits of your phone number). Follow prompts to finish making request.
Requested items are delivered on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. When the items come in to our library we will contact you and let you know. If you would like help requesting items, we will be happy to help you!
