Raising the Roof AND Raising Funds!
Our small brick 1950s-era library is currently under construction! Volunteers have worked over almost a decade to plan, promote, and raise funds for this renovation and expansion project, which will double the size of the library, expand the services it offers, and make much-needed repairs and improvements.
UPDATE from the Friends of the Library, Spring 2018:
Dozens of volunteers have spent over three years raising funds to modernize and expand the New Lisbon Memorial Library. A careful estimate in 2017 set the total cost for this project at $2 million. With generous contributions we met that funding goal.
Unfortunately, construction costs have gone up along the way. The low bid for this project came in at $2.3 million. We need to raise an additional $400,000. Please … do all you can to help. All contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. If you want more detailed information, please call Tim or Tina Hinton: 608-562-5110, to donate or ask questions!
